Well, it is going to get worse before it gets better.

But, good to see that everyone is getting treated equally.

Asbestos is everywhere in a car.

Some Maseratis were recently denied entry to Australia because of the asbestos law .

If you follow Mighty car Mods on youtube you will have seen how they purchased a running Datsun 240Z in Japan and had the engine , gearbox and brakes removed before shipping the car to Australia so as to avoid the asbestos drama.

Hi all. I thought I might bring this thread back to life after a long absence from the forum.

I have decided to revive my air conditioning project for my 1959 coop.  It has been a bit of a rush job, given that I decided to put air conditioning in the car in December 2009.

I am thinking of using this guy: http://www.melwideautoradiators.com.au/hot-rods-customs/

He seemed pretty decent when I spoke to him on the telephone a while back. And he seems to have had plenty of experience with old GM cars.  Has anyone had any experience with him that they can report on?

Many thanks
Sam

G'day Peter,

Would it be possible for you to highlight the changes for us that cannot fathom what has changed?

Thanks,

Bruce.

PS.   Sounds like vehicles that are already here are going to rise in value.

What is wrong with the wiring?

I have repaired a lot of loom problems on vehicles that I have been working on, including modifications for RHD conversions, and the secret is having the correct tools, and replacement wiring, and proper loom tape.

Any recommendations to repair/restore/rebuild my coupes wiring harness. I took it out in one piece.

Vintage Wiring Harness in Ringwood say they can't do it... not sure who else to turn to.
