76 Eldo Conv, seat belts , baby mount brackets
« on: November 27, 2014, 09:10:00 AM »
Hi I have the Aussie grade seat belts and will fit them this weekend,

Re..
baby mount brackets, does anyone have a pic of where and how they
fitted the brackets.. I have the brackets / mounts from seat safe.
I have already done this job on my `65 Mustang coupe, just want to be sure of where best fit is on the Caddy.
Obviously behind rear seat on the back panel yeah?
thanks

The only way to accomplish this would be to install a strengthening bar across the rear panel so that it didn't interfere with the operation of the top, and the attachment of the seat back.

It would have to go under the well, and above the speakers, and anything else that might get in the way.

You have to remember that these cars weren't built with child seats in mind, or centre seat lap/sash seat belts.
